My name is Lizzie and I’ve been grooming for 10 years. I started off bathing in a small mom and pop shop close to the ocean in San Diego. I bathed for over a year then my fellow groomers started to train me to become a groomer. I had three grooming mentors. One who taught me how to properly wash and blow dry. One who taught me how to brush up and hand scissor. Another one who taught me speed with time management tips and tricks. My most favorite mentor was not a groomer at all. He was my manager. He managed the retail part of the groom shop. He taught me how to interact with customers and how to communicate with them in a professional manor. I grew my experience with all four mentors and I gained my confidence. A few years into my career I moved from San Diego to Prescott, Az. In 2015 I began working in a shop where I continued my skills and grew my knowledge of breed cut standards, skin and coat care, and how to train new members of our team on proper grooming career fundamentals from a solid foundation. “Team work makes the dream work”. I care deeply about the well-being of each and every pet in trusted to me. My goal is to provide the client with the style that they want without causing undue stress and anxiety on their own pet. Successful grooming is a partnership between the customers and their chosen groomer. I am always willing to share my knowledge of grooming/general pet care needs and strive to demonstrate expertise with every pet entrusted in me. My family and I just moved out of Prescott to Maricopa and I cannot wait to grow my career with Exceptional Pets.
